The Dept. of Planning & Zoning has agreed to hold two informational meetings (presentation then Q&A session) on the proposed Sign Regulations at the request of the Calvert Coalition for Smart Growth. Please share this with your neighbors, friends & family!
- Tuesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland, in Building B, Rooms 104/105, Prince Frederick.
- Wednesday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons.
Background: The County Commissioners have directed the Dept. of Planning & Zoning to make drastic changes to the current sign regulations that will affect signs in Huntingtown and throughout Calvert County. A public hearing was held on 8/22/17. At the conclusion, the Planning Commission & County Commissioners agreed to hold the record open for 30 days. They also stated that Planning & Zoning(P&Z) staff would meet with groups to explain the proposed regs in detail. Use this link to see the proposed regs on the County website.
