Deadline to Submit Comments on Comprehensive Plan is December 8th

Do you drive on MD 4 through Huntingtown?
Do you want more traffic?
We don’t!  This traffic will happen if Huntingtown Town Center expands to the east, as it is currently mapped in the 1st draft of the Comprehensive Plan rewrite.
It’s easy. Put Calvert 2040 in the subject line and just e-mail  pz@calvertcountymd.gov AND commiss@calvertcountymd.gov
Tell Planning & Zoning that you don’t want Huntingtown Town Center to expand across MD 4!

Petition for Additional Comprehensive Plan Workshop

Please consider signing the petition linked below asking for another workshop or forum where county residents can voice their opinion. Two major changes were approved by the planning commission that were never presented to the citizens:

1. A new “Suburban Residential” area surrounding major Town Centers which calls for the expansion of sewer services and allowing multi-family development outside the Huntingtown Town Center boundaries; and
2. The expansion of the Huntingtown “Village” across Route 2/4 extending from Huntingtown High School to the southeast corner of Cox Road.

Petition (with room for comments):

Thank you,
Sincerely,
HCA
